For the Old Navy Visa holders, they get the 5 points for every $1 spent in the store, but they also earn 1 point for every $1 spent at other businesses. Along with all the benefits of the regular ONC, the Visa can be used anywhere, so gas stations, grocery stores, etc. The Old Navy Visa works more like a regular credit card. ONC holders also get access to special deals throughout the year. The regular rewards is similar, except it’s only 2 points for every $1 spent. When they get 500 points, they get a $5 to use. Besides the basic 20% off sign-on bonus, customers will earn 5 reward points for every $1 they spend with the company. The regular ONC works only at Gap-brand stores, and lets customers buy now and pay their bill later (usually with interest). Old Navy offers two types of cards, the regular Old Navy Card and the Old Navy Visa. Again, you won’t need to worry about any of this for the job, but good to know in general! Things that effect people’s credit include things like paying off bills on time, paying off pre-existing credit cards, buying big things like houses and cars, etc. The fact that it is a hard credit check and the fact that their score will drop if they’re declined is not something you need to ever tell the customer (and even if they ask, I recommend just saying you don’t know), though it’s good to know how it works. If they are declined, their credit score will lower (because it’s a hard credit check). If they are approved, great! They will receive a credit line of x amount of money, which is determined by their income/credit score. This checks their credit score/their credit history, to see if they meet the requirements set by the company. When a customer applies, the system does a “hard credit check”. You shouldn’t need to worry too much about it on the job, but I’ll explain it as best I can!
